ACCESS TO FREE E-COURSES FROM SAGE CAMPUS EXTENDED TO MAY 22ND

CALDISS is currently participating in a SAGE Campus Development Group Trial.
As part of the trial we have been given access to two e-courses: ”Introduction to R” and ”Introduction to python”.

The e-courses are freely available for AAU students and staff at CALDISS moodle until May 22nd.

PHD COURSE ON SOCIAL DATA SCIENCE TO BE HELD IN NOVEMBER

CALDISS is happy to announce the upcoming PhD course: ”Social Data Science: An applied introduction to Machine learning and Artificial Intelligence for Social Science Scholars”.
This 4 ECTS course will introduce a variety of digital and computational social science tools and will be held from November 25th to November 29th 2019.

NEW DATA ACCESSES: PROPERTY DATA FROM LIFA & FINANCIAL DATA FROM THOMSON-EIKON

CALDISS has been given access to property data (ownership, sales prices etc.) from LIFA. The data can freely be used by AAU affiliates for research, education and student projects. More information to follow on the CALDISS website but please contact CALDISS if you would like to know more.

It is now also possible to work with financial data from the database Thomson-Eikon on the workstations COMP1 & COMP2 in CALDISS. More information to follow on the CALDISS website but the data is currently available on those workstations.

NVIVO WORKSHOP ANNOUNCED FOR AUGUST 12TH & 19TH

CALDISS is currently developing a two-day workshop in NVivo. The workshop will be held on August 12th and 19th, both days from 9AM to 3:30PM. The workshop will be relevant to both new and exisitng users.
